When we were invited to attend the LDS Scouting Conference at the Philmont Training center all of the families were asked to make a Family Banner or Family Flag. Since they didn't give a lot of information on what a family flag is I started researching in on the internet. I found several family web pages that displayed and described their family flag.

I wanted it to mean something and be original so in our family nights we started discussing and designing our family flag. Everything on the flag has a meaning.

Here are what the Colors mean
Symbols
Blue - loyalty Shield - Family is our protection, we also need to keep it safe
Red - courage
Stars - Reminder that we are children of our Heavenly Father like stars are children of the heavens. One for each of us.
Yellow - service

Orange Circle - Circle is a symbol of eternal, never ending, orange is endurance.

White - purity     Yellow rings - One for each of us, they are all intertwined symbolizing we are a family that will be together forever.
Orange - strength; endurance     Heart - Love is what holds us together.
Palm Trees - Represent where we live, California.
